My Journey Through Life

Hello there!

Yes, you're reading right, I'm back! University is finally over, all my thesis i had to write are submitted and now I'm "only" working until my vacations in August.

And as I got some time right now, I thought about writing a blogpost about my favourite series I'm watching right now and can recommend. Maybe you're searching for one and can get inspired :) I tried to grade the series, so that you can see which one I like more, but it's pretty dificult since I really like them all....

#7 13 Reasons Why

I started watching 13 reasons why after my brother told me that it was really interesting. I got stuck in the story of Hannah Baker, a teenage girl who commits suicide after suffering from bullying, violation and lack of friends. It is a very difficult theme to talk about and sometimes I don't know if it's too harsh to show young teenagers so explicit scenes. But I do think that it's a good series to show everyone how people suffer and what impacts our actions have on others.

#6 Suits

Suits is a legal drama series about the talented college dropout Mike Ross and the lawyer Harvey Specter. I watched the series with my boyfriend and really enjoyed it, because it was funny but also dramatic sometimes and interesting to get to know the work of lawyers (despite not all lawyers work like them (: )

#5 Dynasty

I first got interested in Dynsty after seeing a video about it on Facebook. In this video it was said that if you like Gossip Girl, that would be a good serie for you. Since I liked Elizabeth Gillies in Victorious and Nathalie Kelley in The Vampire Diaries, I decided to give it a chance.
It's not as intense as Gossip Girl, but it's a good series to watch if you like soap operas surrounding the "rich and beautiful". There are sometimes strange moments, but all in all, it's a entertaining serie.

#4 Riverdale

I normally don't like to watch series that are beeing ultra-hyped (reason why I never watched Game Of Thrones, Walking Dead and Stranger Things, despite they do seem to be good series). But I don't know why, Riverdale soemhow managed to catch my attention that's why I decided to watch a few episodes. The first episode (like in most series) wasn't really catchy, but I wanted to know how the story goes on and the more I watched, the more I loved it. I do like mysterious series (as you can the in #3) that's my Riverdale got me. The characters aren't as elaborated as  in #1, but somehow I can identify myself a bit with everyone. Maybe that's the reason, besides of the plot, which I personally really enjoy, why I recommend the serie.

#3 The Vampire Diaries/ The Originals

Oh my dear, my very first serie. I looooove, loooove, looooove Damon, that was somehow the biggest reason why I always watched the series, even when it had a season where it wasn't very interesting (I think it was the last but one or even the last) but it was so all-consuming with it's elaborate characters and the ensnared plot. Sometimes, it was a bit too much background information and difficult to follow if you missed more than 2 episodes (or like me the first time I watched the series only started in mid of season 2) but it's such a loving series with it's own world.
I put the spin-off The Originals together with The Vampire Diaries, because I loved it as much. It was somehow darker, more aggressive and less focussed on love triangles than the Vampire Diaries what made it kind of different to VD but however alike.
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

#2 Gossip Girl

Maybe the number one teen drama series on the world. Gossip Girl catched me already by the first episode, with the luxurious world of the rich and beautiful but it's characters with (almost) normal problems. Even after watching it the first time and knowing who Gossip Girl is (one of the reasons why you have to watch all seasons because you NEED to know it!) I enjoyed watching it two more times (#guiltypleasure). I've always been team Chuck Bass, another good reason to watch this series (how can someone be that good looking?). Another thing that I really enjoyed was the focus on fashion, one of my faibles (as you might have noticed on this blog).
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

#1 One Tree Hill

Last, but lever least, my all-time favourite serie is One Tree Hill. This drama serie taught me some much about life, it's incredible. Not only did it show me how important friends and partners are, but also how to love myself and put my own well-being at least at the same level as the one of others. The characters (especially my favourite Brooke Davis) have been elaborated in detail and also the plot is so interesting and captivating. I think I didn't laugh and cry as much as while watching One Tree Hill. I can't tell you how amazing this serie is, you have to watch it by yourself to see for yourself.
ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

So guys, this was my favourite series post, I hope you enjoyed :) Please leave a comment if you know some of this series and what you think about them. If you have other series you recommend, also leave a comment, as soon as I finish Dynasty I'm looking for a new one :)

Hello Guys!

Here I am again, searching for something else to do than my thesis! Today we're back with a Trend Check, this time rose Suede Jackets!

I bought one myself two months ago and I really like it! It's perfect for sunny but fresh spring days. I like to combine it with a simple white Shirt and black or blue Jeans as well as white shoes. I also have used the jacket with a mesh black top and black Jeans as well as a pair of sneakers in the same colour as the jacket. Here you can see some streetstyles:

Unfortunately, Polyvore is down... That means that there won't be any more sets whilst I don't find a page that is as good as polyvore was (#petitiontobringpolyvoreback)

But well, the alternative I found instead of sets is a rotating widget with some examples of the type of clothes I would style it. I hope you like it, and if yes (or if not!) please leave a comment! :)

Hey guys!
I hope you are all fine?

Since the weather here is not springtime at all, I wanted to share with you my stay in Vienna 3 ½ years ago! I know it’s quite a long time, but I remember it pretty well since it was my first weekend-trip to a foreign country.

I went there with some friends from university at the end of November 2014. The journey was pretty long by bus (about 5 hours), but we slept the whole time since we’ve been to the Prof’s Night the night before at just had had half an hour of sleep.

After getting to Vienna at about 1pm we went to our rooms and late we had a guided tour. Since she was pretty boring we left the group and discovered Vienna by our own. Since one of my friends had been there a few years before, she knew some sights so we went to the café Mozart passing by the Opera House, strolled through the shopping streets till it got night and saw the lovely Stephansdom.

After eating at Vapiano (been there for the first time at totally fell in love), we went back home since the next day we had to get up early.

On Saturday we went to see Schloss Schönbrunn, the castle of Sissi. Unfortunately, I didn’t enter it (#scrooge) but it was amazing from the outside, so I believe it’s pretty beautiful from the inside as well. Since it was fall, the garden wasn’t lush but I enjoyed it anyways. Srolling through the same paths the empress Sissi walked through is just unbelievable. In the yard of the castle was a little Christmas market me and my friend had a look on.

Later that day, we went to see the Imperial Palace Hofburg and the Christmas market at the townhall.

The next day was the day we left Vienna, so we hadn’t a lot of time since we had to check-out and leave at 1 pm. We just went to the St. Charles Church which wasn’t far away from the Hostel we stayed at. It is truly a beautiful church but I imagine it even more pretty in Summer when the fountain in front of it is filled with water at the garden surrounding it is lush.

So that was my short 2-days-stay in Vienna. I really liked the city and regret that I wasn’t there for much time to see even more sights, like the Hundertwasser House, the Danube Tower and so on. I can truly recommend it and if you haven’t heard these days, Vienna was even elected the most liveable city in the world!

Have you ever been to Vienna? If yes did you like it? If not, would you consider going there? Leave a comment!

Here we are again with a new Travel post! Finally, it’s about my trip to Berlin in March 2015 (almost 3 years ago!) We went there because of the ITB, the International Tourism Exhibition which takes part every year in March in Berlin and is the biggest Tourism Trade in the world.

We drove there by bus on a Monday morning (took us 7 hours if I remember right) and got to our hostel (the lovely wombats hostel, totally recommend it!)

On our first day there we went on a „free tour“. This is a guided tour through not so common sights which is for free, you just pay if and what you want at the end. The guide showed us the Alexanderplatz and went to Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg with us. This two boroughs of Berlin are known as the more poor and intercultural ones. (or as some racist German would say: the Muslim part of Berlin). To be honest I didn’t like these parts of Berlin because it was really dirty and old. You really could see that this is the part where people without money and without future live. It’s not that I prefer the rich and clean places, I just didn’t like this type of poor area. I didn’t feel very safe to be honest and I’m far away from being a suspicious and prejudiced person.

The tour ended at the East Side Gallery, the former wall who separated east and west Berlin. The graffiti there is truly amazing and I couldn’t stop taking pictures not only because of the unbelievable art, but also because of the history beyond it and the wall. Remembering that families where torn apart by it broke my heart.

In the evening we ate something in the bar next to our hostel and went to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate the birthday of a fellow student.

The next day, we went to the Reichstag, the german parliament. It was really interesting passing by some politicians and seeing the place, where Germany is ruled and laws are being made. After that we just went shortly to the Brandenburger Tor for some photos and finally went to the ITB (the cause we went to Berlin, but tbh we weren’t there a lot) to have a short look on some of the exibitors.

The next two days were mostly passed at the ITB, talking with exhibitors, getting free stuff (still got about 10 bags) and crying about how our feet hurt (I truly NEVER had such feet ache as during this stay in Berlin). It was really interesting meeting people from all over the world and getting in contact with them.

On the fourth day we went to Mario Testinos “In Your Face” exhibition. I’ve always loved his photography’s, but I got to love them even more after getting to know more of them. He is truly an artist!

In the evening, there was an amazing party at the ITB. It was so funny and we had so much fun!

Our last full day in Berlin was spend at the ITB. For dinner we went to “Que Pasa” a lovely Mexican restaurant. Then, all students went together to club named E4. At the beginning it was all nice, but most of the people were completely drunk and since we had to leave quite early the next morning, we went home at about 2am.

That was my trip to Berlin! As you might have noticed (if you read my other travel posts) this post wasn’t as enthusiastic as the others. Tbh I’m not a big Berlin fan, and I don’t feel the need to go there once again (in comparison to London, I definitely loved the city!)
But well, I did like Potsdamer Platz and the sights, and you can go shopping very well there. But it’s just my opinion, there are lots of people who love Berlin!

Have you every been to Berlin? If yes, did you like it? And if no, do you want to go there or not? Leave a comment and tell me about your stay there!

You can't force love, I realized. It's there or it isn't. If it's not there, you've got to be able to admit it. If it is there, you've got to do whatever it takes to protect the ones you love. - Rose Hathaway
